She\u2019s earning her Doctor of Audiology from The University of Texas at Dallas and received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Science and Disorders from Florida State University. In 2023, she won the American Academy of Audiology Foundation\u2019s Jerger Award for Excellence in Student Research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both of Julia\u2019s parents are in the medical field, so she has always been exposed to and enjoyed clinical work. Additionally, her grandmother was completely deaf due to tumors on her hearing nerve.
